By using MemoriesBox you agree to the terms below. They are short on purpose.
What MemoriesBox is
A service that interviews you, captures your voice and stories, and lets the people you designate talk with your avatar: during your life, and after.
Your account
One person per account. Keep your sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for what you upload.
Trial and billing
First 14 days are free. Your card is added at sign-up and is only charged when the trial ends. After that, the yearly price shown at checkout applies. Cancel anytime. You keep access until the end of the paid period.
If the payments stop
We never delete your recordings because a subscription ended. If your card expires, if you cancel, or if nobody renews the account after you are gone, everything you have already recorded stays exactly where it is, and you and any released heirs can still read it, listen to it and download all of it. What a subscription pays for is adding to the archive, not keeping it. The only thing that deletes anything is you asking us to, in Settings → Privacy. We will write to you when a subscription ends, again after a month, and once a year after that, so nobody is ever surprised. If those letters go unanswered we do nothing: an unread inbox is not permission to erase a life.
What you upload
Only upload material you have the right to share. Don't upload illegal content. We may remove content that violates law or these terms.
Your recordings and your voice
Your recordings, transcripts, photographs and letters are yours. You give MemoriesBox only the licence needed to run the service for you: to store them, transcribe them, build your digital self from them when you ask, and show them to the people you gave a key to. That licence ends when you delete the account or retire the digital self, and the voice model and character brief are deleted with it. We never sell, license or hand your recordings or your voice model to anyone else, and we never use them to train a general model; our processors are bound by contract to the same. The sound recording is yours, and the model made from it exists only for your account and cannot be exported by anyone, including you.
After you are gone
Heirs you designated can access your avatar with the one-time key you gave them. Without a key, nobody can speak as you. Not even us.
Liability
MemoriesBox is provided as-is. We make best efforts to keep your data safe, but we are not liable for losses beyond what was paid to us in the prior 12 months.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will email you at least 30 days in advance.
